Has anyone noticed that the official Elizabeth Condominium Minutes for the month of June 2010 were approved but never posted either on the Lobby bulletin board or here on this blog?
If you ask for them in our management office, you will learn that those minutes were never sent to the former Management Assistant or to our General Manager Jim Santos. Since July, I have asked the ECA President for the minutes and more recently so has Mr. Santos without results.
Should anyone care?
I should think so. The minutes are legal records that show what the Board has accomplished collectively and individually as well as keep a running account of projects and problems in the building. These records should also tell us where Board members stand on various items that come up for a vote.
It should be a matter of public record how each Board Member votes. Why? Because this is one way an ECA member can decide whom to vote for the next time this director runs for re-election.
Take note that the Official August Minutes makes note of how Board members vote on the minutes but not after that. When a motion is pass unanimously by the directors present at the meeting, there is no need to list them individually, but it is not clear from the discussion, which directors opposed certain motions.
