May 11 from 7 AM to 8 PM, the polls will be open to vote for the people who represent us on the Friendship Heights Village Center Council. Do your civic duty and vote.
Chip Mudd and Maurice Trebach are the Elizabethans who sit on that Council currently and are up for re-election. They provide us with invaluable information about what is happening in our community. For example, Maurice explained to us one night at our monthly board meeting about the crosswalk project going on in the streets here before it started and has kept us posted on its progress.
If you cannot vote in person, you can request a ballot from the League of Women Voters. (Get the application from FHV website at http://www.friendshipheightsmd.gov/PDFs/AbsBallot_Applic-2-23-09.pdf.)
